Technology in the classrooms at AP is booming. This became very apparent when the Social Studies department at the high school moved out of their technology-rich classrooms last week due to the mold problem. The teachers scrambled to relocate to rooms with projectors, elmos, and computers. The teachers need this equipment so that they could continue to teach using internet resources and interactive tools.
As the district prepares for the Oct 27th conference day “Technology to Facilitate 21st Century Learning” we want to hear from you. What type of technology are you using in your classroom and how do students respond to this? What are you doing to engage your students using the technology we have? Are your students keeping up with you or are you keeping up with your students?
Please post your thoughts to this blog. Need help with technology integration? Tell us about it. Chances are someone reading this blog can offer advice. Want to share a tech experience with your colleagues, post it here.
Blogging is a great way to open up conversations so let’s get going.
I hope you all enjoy this blog. I am looking forward to participating and reading your posts.

The Day After - 10-28-2009
Have you ever attended a great wedding or party and find yourself really excited about it the next day? You can’t help but be in a good mood and almost obsessive about it? Well that is how a lot of people are feeling today.
What is it that got you excited yesterday’s conference? Personally I cannot wait to use Screenr…good thing I already have a twitter account. :-)
I don’t have a classroom full of kids but I know at home this evening I will be showing my 5th grader wordnik.com. Yes, I probably could have found that site on my own but sometimes its nice when someone else recommends a site to you. Thank you Linda!
We were so lucky to have the expertise of Linda Braun yesterday as well as our own talented teachers.
Feeling overwhelmed? That’s ok, we all are. Start small. What is that one tool that your students will embrace?
Tell us what new tool you are excited about.
